Wilbert S. Aronow, MD is currently Professor of Medicine and Director of Cardiology Research at Westchester Medical Center and New York Medical College. He received his MD from Harvard Medical School. He has edited 16 books; has authored or coauthored 1,657 papers or book chapters, 518 commentaries, 47 Letters to the Editor, and 1,102 abstracts; and has presented or copresented 1,473 talks at meetings. Dr. Aronow is a Fellow of the ACC, the AHA, the ACP, ACCP, the ASPC, the AGS (Founding Fellow of Western Section), and the GSA. He also received a Distinguished Fellowship Award from the International Academy of Cardiology.

He has been a member of 172 editorial boards of medical journals. He has received numerous teaching and research awards. He has been a member of four national guidelines committees, including being a coauthor of the 2010 American Medical Director Association guidelines for heart failure, a co-chair of the 2011 ACC/AHA expert consensus document on hypertension in the elderly, a coauthor of the 2015 AHA/ACC/ASH scientific statement on treatment of hypertension in patients with coronary artery disease, and a coauthor of the 2017 ACC/AHA/AAPA/ABC/ ACPM/AGS/APhA/ASH/ASPC/NMA/PCNA guideline for the prevention, detection, evaluation, and management of high blood pressure in adults.

Jerome L. Fleg, MD, FACC, FAHA is a Medical Officer, Division of Cardiovascular Sciences, National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, Bethesda, Maryland and Guest Researcher, Laboratory of Cardiovascular Science, Gerontology Research Center, National Institute on Aging, Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Fleg received his MD from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and has authored over 350 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, reviews, and editorials related to cardiovascular aging and disease. He serves on multiple journal editorial boards and is an associate editor for the Journal of Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation and Prevention and Aging: Clinical and Experimental Research.
