Dr Ronnie George, DO, DNB, MS is currently the Deputy Director, Glaucoma Services at SankaraNethralaya, Chennai and Research Director for the organisation. He has been a faculty here since past 20 years. He is a past secretary of the Glaucoma Society of India and Past President of the India—ARVO chapter. He is a member of the Education and Outreach Committee of the World Glaucoma Association. He is also a Section Editor for glaucoma of the Indian Journal of Ophthalmology and an Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Glaucoma. He is actively involved with teaching and training postgraduates and fellows. Dr Lingam Vijaya, MS, MS, FRCS Ed, FNAMS is currently the Distinguished Senior Consultant, Glaucoma Services, SankaraNethralaya, Chennai, India. She is associated with SankaraNethralaya since 1987 and headed the department of glaucoma for more than 20 years. She is a Fellow of National Academy of Medical Sciences, India, past President of Glaucoma Society of India, member of board of governors of the World Glaucoma Association and the Asia Pacific Glaucoma Society. She is a member of Glaucoma Research Society and chair for the World Glaucoma Association global outreach program. She was the Principal investigator for the Chennai Glaucoma Study and the Chennai Eye Disease Incidence Study. She is actively involved in teaching and has trained several glaucoma specialists within and outside the country.
