About the Author
Prof. (Dr.) Shailendra K. Saxena is a Vice Dean and Professor at King George’s Medical University, Lucknow. His primary research interest is to understand the molecular mechanisms of host defense during human viral infections and to develop predictive, preventive and therapeutic strategies against these diseases. Prof. Saxena’s work has been published in various high impact factor reputed international journals. He has been honored by several prestigious National and International Awards, Fellowships and Scholarships in India and abroad, including Young Scientist Awards, BBSRC India Partnering Award and named as the Global Leader in Science by The Scientist magazine (USA) and International Opinion Leader/Expert that are involved in the vaccination for JE by IPIC (UK).
