European Pharmacopoeia 10th edition

The 10th Edition of the European Pharmacopoeia, which is applicable in 38 European countries from 1 January 2020 and is used in over 100 countries worldwide, is now available!

The 2020 subscription consists of 3 initial volumes (10.0) already published and the first 2 cumulative updates: 10.1 published in October 2019 and 10.2 to be published in January 2020.

The 10th Edition of the European Pharmacopoeia is available in both print and electronic versions. Users can access electronic versions through web browsers or by installing a desktop and/or USB application that allows full access also when not connected to internet. This new edition also includes a revised management system for licences and provides access to the Ph. Eur. online archives.

The European Pharmacopoeia (Ph. Eur.) is a single reference work for the quality control of medicines. The official standards published within provide a scientific basis for quality control during the entire life cycle of a product.

These standards are legally binding – as laid down in the Council of Europe’s Convention on the elaboration of a European Pharmacopoeia and in EU and national pharmaceutical legislation. Ph. Eur. quality standards become mandatory on the same date in all signatory member states of the Convention.
